All fishing gear and other heavy items should be properly stowed, placed low in the vessel and prevented from moving. Fishing gear placed on the high deck, wheelhouse and on the roof on the bridge, will severely reduce the stability of the vessel.
The vessel’s ballast should be properly stowed so that it cannot move, not even though the vessel heels considerably.

It is unauthorized to use loose ballast.
